This early-1970s Acoustic Model 270 head is an exceptionally original example of one of Acoustic Control Corporation's most respected high-powered amplifiers. Professionally authenticated and evaluated by Blue Note Music, it retains its original chassis, transformers, printed circuit board, factory wiring, control panel, hardware, and cosmetics, resulting in an outstanding 98% originality rating. The amplifier shows no evidence of circuit modifications, additional chassis holes, or non-factory repairs, making it an excellent representation of the original factory design. The original filter capacitors and electronic components remain in place, preserving the amplifier's authenticity, although due to their age they should be considered for routine preventive service before regular operation. Additionally, the original two-prong power cord is still installed and should be upgraded to a modern three-prong grounded cord to meet current safety standards.
