The Perfacktone brand was distributed by The Progressive Musical Instrument Corporation of New York City. There are many issues regarding individual Perfacktone instruments regarding identification of the actual factory that built/sembled them, so any that still exist tend to garner some interest from vintage-instrument collectors.
The appointments and hardware are all original and period-correct. The large ship illustrated on the resonator gives this banjo far more “personality” than your average pre-war era tenor.
This instrument appears to be in good vintage condition considering its age and use. There is an unidentified handwritten signature on this instrument. We have made no effort to identify the signature, so this instrument is not being presented as having been owned by a celebrity of any type, just offered as an interesting signature for someone to possibly identify. Please enjoy.
